Van Garderen wins Queen stage 7 of the Tour de Suisse

In tough racing conditions, Tejay van Garderen (BMC) won stage 7 at the Tour de Suisse after a solo attack in the last 2km of the queen stage. Rivals Miguel Lopez (Astana) finished in second and Warren Barguil (Giant-Alpecin) in third.

Warren Barguil's consolation prize was the overall race lead after finishing third to Astana’s Miguel Angel Lopez, who is now second overall, 21 seconds back. Another American, Cannondale’s Andrew Talansky is third overall, 24 seconds in arrears.
