Free Beer For All Riders at the Rensselaerville Cycling Festival

Free Beer For All Riders at the Rensselaerville Cycling Festival
The Rensselaerville Cycling Festival, believe in celebrating a job well done. The fine folks at their venue the Carey Institute for Global Good agree, which is why they have generously decided to greet every rider (at least 21 years of age) at the finish line with a free custom pint glass filled with Finisher's Brew from their local agricultural initiative the Helderberg Brewshed.

Rensselaerville and its local farms have a long history with beer. This part of Upstate New York used to be one of the most prolific hops regions in the world, and Rensselaervillians would drop everything for one week every summer to pick the flavorful flowers. After a mild hiatus, hops and local beer brewing are back in a big way, and we'll be showcasing the local talent via the Helderberg Brewshed.

The Helderberg Brewshed consists of a farm-to-glass classroom, a farm-to-glass incubator, and a model farm brewery. The goal of the initiative is to strengthen the local community through rural and agricultural economic development. Honey Hollow Brewery and Greenwolf Brewery are two local members of the program that will be a part of our Festival Market Beer Garden.
