3,500 Cyclists tackled 20th Pinarello Gran Fondo - La Pina Cycling Marathon

Igor Zanetti (Cannondale-Gobbi-FSA) finished first in a time of 4 hours 37 mins ahead of Alessandro Bertuola (ASD Ciclo Copparo - Liotto) in second and Mauro Facci (ASD Panozzo) in third.

This year marked Twenty years of Granfondo Pinarello, affectionalty known as the La Pina cycling Marathon in Treviso, Italy.

It is a challenging sportive that starts in the beautiful town of Treviso and heads into the Dolomites for the 73 mile Medio Fondo and the 98 mile Gran Fondo, with stunning scenery and challenging cycling with the major climbs of Passo San Boldo  and the Passo Praderadego.

Treviso is the home of Italian sparkling wine Prosecco, the clothing empire Benetton and the internationally renowned cycling brand, Pinarello, who host La Pina Cycling Marathon every year. The whole town is taken over by cyclists from across Italy and around the world for this celebration of the famous Pinarello brand and Italian cycling.

Odette Bertolin (SOMEC-MG.K VIS-LGL) was the fastest lady in a time of 4 hours 57 minutes.

Tour de France champion Miguel Indurain was on hand to welcome and encourage all the participants.
