WEDU Announces Texas Hundred

Who the $%&# wants to ride 100 miles through the Texas Hill Country?

Having tripled it's community since it's first event, the Aspen Fifty, WEDU look to it's tribe of followers, to help craft it's vision.

Still reminiscing on what a blast the fifty was it’s time to stage another sufferfest!

The WEDU Texas Hundred is a beautiful 100-mile road ride touring the sprawling ranches and wide-open spaces of the central Texas Hill Country. This isn’t your common century—the Hundred was designed to satisfy a healthy appetite for adventure on two wheels.

You’ll encounter sweeping landscapes and some local wildlife, including zebras, ostriches, llamas and longhorns. And, oh yeah, there’s a pretty mellow four-mile gravel stretch to keep things interesting.  They will also have a fantastic 20-mile option—ideal for beginners or those just looking to keep things short and sweet.

Join WEDU for one of the best rides in Texas, then relive the day’s heroics over cold beers and BBQ.

The ride rolls out at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 3. The area, including the start/finish location at Reveille Peak Ranch (less than an hour’s drive from Austin), offers many activities to entertain your friends and family while you’re out on the bike, including fishing, hiking and mountain biking. Your crew is also welcome at our after-party, which will have some great live music.

Field size is limited to 1,000 for this inaugural ride, so don’t get left behind.

We look forward to suffering in solidarity with all of you in what promises to be an awesome day.
