Ronde van Vlaanderen Cyclo almost full

Only 500 race numbers are available for We Ride Flanders on Saturday 31 March

If you want to take part in the Tour of Flanders the day before the professionals and on the same course, you really should hurry up and sign up now!

Places have never gone so fast for the Tour of Flanders! The participation limit of 16,000 registrations is estimated to be reached before the end of the month, faster than ever before. This limit was introduced a few years ago to ensure the comfort of the riders on and around the course.

There are four distances this year. Those who want to ride in the track of the professionals will opt for the 237km which starts in Antwerp. It is remarkable, the majority of riders that have entered so far have signed up for the longest distance, which is a first. For the 130km, traditionally the most popular distance, there are almost 5500 candidates. The 130km starts, just like the 74km and the 170km, from Oudenaarde.

The 170km, introduced to the Tour of Flanders last year, will currently be keeping more than 2500 cyclists warm. The inclusion of the Wall of Geraardsbergen in this distance will be one of the reasons. In line with previous years, once again more than half of the participants will be from abroad. So far, 65 nationalities have signed up. It can be said that the Tour of Flanders is attractive on a global scale.

There are several race numbers available still for the more exclusive formula 'We Ride Flanders Hors Catégorie'. Anyone who chooses this formula will be welcomed by ex-winners of the Tour of Flanders (Johan Museeuw, Alessandro Ballan, Peter Van Petegem and Nick Nuyens) with a healthy breakfast in the VIP tent close to the official finish of the professionals. Afterwards you will be able to enjoy this heroic achievement in the same tent!

Registering for the Tour of Flanders, including the more exclusive formula, can be done via werideflanders.com
