Napa Valley’s Premier Weekend Festival of Food, Fun & Cycling Returns

Napa Valley, CA, (December 2nd 2018) – The 3rd edition of sold out CampoVelo returns this April 26-28, 2019, which includes three days of epic cycling (road, gravel and mountain), out-of-this-world food, Napa's finest wine and beer, and an unforgettable good times!

Blending the best of the culinary world with the world of cycling and wellness, CampoVelo has grown into a world class boutique event, one of northern California’s premier cycling and culinary festivals.

Head chef Chris Cosentino, an avid cyclist said “Anyone who knows me, knows my passion for food, family, cycling and fun. We again have a killer weekend planned with more of my chef, athlete, and winemaking friends joining the festivities. I am also excited to work with our returning and new partners including Clif, Giant, Liv, Colavita, Bialetti and First Republic Bank which will be featured throughout our culinary weekend.” remarked chef Cosentino.

Chef Cosentino is accompanied with huge list of featured guests including other accomplished chefs, winemakers, pro-cyclists and other dignitaries. Whether you’re a foodie, fondo fan or fun loving VIP - there’s something for everyone!

The Friday activities kick off at Clif Family winery, while Tamber Bey hosts the evening VIP Welcome Reception and No Kid Hungry Benefit Dinner.

Saturday starts with a champion’s breakfast, lots of bike rides to choose from, a hike or Yoga, making room for a champion’s lunch. In the afternoon you can enjoy culinary demos and browse the marketplace with an artisan assortment of our favorite food, drink and wares for you to taste, test or buy.

More than a Gran Fondo—Saturday Night at the Speedway

Inspired by the cult-classic cycling film Breaking Away and Indiana University’s Little 500 race, CampoVelo includes “Saturday Night at the Speedway.” The feature event of the evening is a team relay race around the half-mile Calistoga Speedway track with live commentary by the one-and-only Bob Roll.

Sunday starts with a big breakfast, followed by a big ride, Gran Fondo style, including three route options 30, 50 or 80 miles around Pope Valley, Berryessa, Angwin, and Calistoga. Choose your distance. Choose your speed. Choose from the extraordinary culinary treats at each of our cycling Refuel stations.

CampVelo benefits Chefs Cycle for No Kid Hungry and the Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition. One in five children in the United States face hunger issues. CampoVelo’s mission is to continue to provide resources to reduce this number. The Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition is building a 47-mile, walking & biking trail system connecting the entire Napa Valley!
