Mountain Top Cycling Club’s popular 2019 Century Experience Ride is back again this June 15, starting in beautiful Florissant, Colorado.

Mountain Top Cycling Club’s popular 2019 Century Experience Ride is back again this June 15, starting in beautiful Florissant, Colorado.

It’s not just a century ride - it has routes of 50, 75 and 100 miles for all abilities of cyclists. In fact, if you’re not the set route type of rider, you can ride within the route and make up your own course, communicating with rest stops in between.

The 100 mile century route is a tough ride at altitude and not for the faint hearted.  Starting at 8,000 feet above sea level, the route contains over 10,000 feet of climbing, making it one heck of a memorable road bike ride and achievement around Cripple Creek, Victor, and Guffey, Colorado.

The 75 mile ride contains 6,000 feet of climbing for those still looking for a challenging day out, whilst the easier 50 mile ride contains a doable 4,000 feet of climbing to savour.

The King and Queen of the mountains challenge is over two sections, with 4 different age group categories; under 30, 30 - 44, 45 - 59 and 60 plus. There is a $100.00 cash prize and jersey offer for each age category winner! Riders must download their Stava times by Monday night. The Winners will be announced the Tuesday afterwards.

The ride is superbly organized and supported by the ever affable Mountain Top Cycling Club. Participants will enjoy a whole host of benefits to keep them pedalling throughout the day and the features a free lunch, massages and ice cream at the finish!

Rest stops will have oranges, bananas, trail mix, P&J sandwiches, watermelon, beef jerky, pickles, homemade breads and cookies!

Fully supported with SAG from 6 AM to 5 PM, HAM radio communications. Commemorative patch and event t-shirt or savings options. All on paved roads. There will be EMS dedicated to the event. State Highway will travel with the cyclists.

Proceed from the event continue to benefit the Mountain Top Cycling Club a 501(c) non-profit organization, who support the Colorado High school Mountain Bike team, NICA, and other youth cycling programs.

They will be featuring 5 local non-profits at each of the 5 rest stops who all receive a donation in exchange for their volunteer work!
