A fun packed weekend of Art, Wine, and Wheels, April 3-5, 2020!

(Ridgeland, MS) – Taking place April 3 – 5, 2020, the Cheers and Gears, presented by Bicycle Revolution is a celebration of Art, Wine and Wheels, with an all-inclusive rides that attract cyclists from around the country to enjoy Ridgeland’s nationally-recognized bike paths.

Poker Run

The highlight for many cyclists is the seriously fun Poker Run on Friday April 3rd, with distances of 10, 27 and 45 miles.

The object of the Poker Run is to have the best five-card poker hand selected from playing cards earned by having their official Cheers and Gears Ride Poker Run Passport “stamped” at designated checkpoints around Ridgeland. Cyclists will be provided cue sheets and maps including all of the checkpoints upon registration. Players may choose to obtain stamps at any five or more checkpoints during the day.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three five-card poker hands.

Art vouchers to the Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival for $100, $50 and $25 will be awarded to the cyclists with the three best poker hands. The Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival will be open for shopping on Saturday and Sunday April 4-5.

The evening includes Music, food and drinks, and great fellowship at the Cheers and Gears Social, exclusive to Cheers and Gears cyclists with the announcing of the Poker Run winners and an opportunity to mingle with your fellow riders. Enjoy the Art, Wine, & Wheels Kick-Off Party with Doctor Zarr’s Funk Monster Band & the Renaissance Show Fountain or Dinner on your own at one of Ridgeland’s Award Winning restaurants.

Saturday’s Mississippi Petrified Forest Ride

On Saturday participants can enjoy route out to The Mississippi Petrified Forest – an unforgettable journey back in time with distances of 27, 45 and 62 miles.

The ride includes lunch at the Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival at Eurocurve Renaissance at Colony Park and fully stocked rest stops.

Sunday’s “On Your Own Hang Over Ride”

Join the fun at Bicycle Revolution on Sunday morning with 15 mile historical tour of Gluckstadt or the 26 mile shop ride, Vicksburg National Military Park ride, 40 mile Longleaf Trace or 44 mile Tanglefoot Trail.
