Nominate: RBC Olympian Laura Brown’s exclusive free women’s training clinic

This August, RBC GranFondo is delighted to offer 30 women an exclusive FREE training clinic run by Laura Brown, Olympic cyclist and ambassador for title sponsor RBC.

Laura will be personally leading weekly evening Zoom meetings, with participant numbers kept low to make the clinic as interactive as possible. She'll be offering interactive tips, advice and support over four weeks, with the program perfect for those who are just getting into cycling or looking to take their next steps.

Not only a great opportunity to virtually meet other female cyclists, but all participants will be getting some surprise goodies as well as benefiting from guaranteed lowest pricing for the 2021 RBC GranFondo Whistler event.

Dates and times

This free clinic will run with a weekly 5.30pm (PT) Zoom session between Wednesday August 12 - Wednesday September 12.

Hint hint… RBC GranFondo Whistler is about to release details of a new virtual challenge for September - so together with Laura's help, you'll be in great shape!

Entry is by nomination

With only 30 places available, entry will be decided by a nomination process. We want you to nominate the name of a lady you think deserves this amazing opportunity and tell us why!

Laura will then be personally reading your stories and picking the lucky 30.

Nominations are open now using the form below and will close at midnight PT, Tuesday July 28. The winners will be announced the following week via the RBC GranFondo e-newsletter. And remember, this clinic is completely free!

If your nomination doesn’t get selected, not to worry. All the content will be released after the clinic ends, so you’ll still be able to benefit from Laura’s Olympic touch.

In Laura’s own words

“What gets me out of bed every morning is sharing my passion for cycling with others. I am happiest when I am on two wheels and getting more women on bikes drives me every day to share my experience and enthusiasm for the sport with my community.

“During this novel time of practising physical distancing, I am thrilled to be offering an exclusive online interactive women’s clinic once per week throughout August and September – and better yet, it’s free!

RBC GranFondo Whistler already has the highest Gran Fondo female participation in North America, but let’s raise the bar even more! I am very excited and honoured to be a part of their goal of encouraging even more women into the sport of cycling.

“There’s never been a better time than now to pay it forward.”

– Laura Brown, Canadian Olympic cyclist and RBC ambassador
