Alberto Contador will once again take up the challenge of the Tour des Stations for the second time, this year by tackling the new Everest of cycling

Retired from the professional cycling since 2017, he will be back on the roads of the Valais to tackle the 242 km and 8,848m of climbin on the "Ultrafondo - The Everest" course, starting from Le Châble on Saturday 7 August. 

He will share this new challenge with more than 700 people on this extreme course to finish Verbier, close to his heart. Indeed, the former Spanish professional, winner of the three "Grand Tours", won the stage of the Tour de France in 2009 and wore the yellow jersey in Verbier, before finally winning the overall classification in Paris. In addition, he will be the ambassador and open the kids race (from 5 to 15 years old) which will take place on Friday, August 6 from 5pm in Le Châble.

As a reminder, a Santini jersey worth CHF 100 is offered to the first 2,500 registrants of the Tour des Stations. 

There are less than 250 places left which can take advantage of this offer including the official Tour des Stations jersey.
