Over 2,200 cyclists participated in the Barry-Roubaix Killer Gravel Road Race in freezing conditions with strong winds!

Like the classic it’s named after, Barry-Roubaix tested riders against rolling gravel roads, pavement, one mile of rough two track, rocks, sand, mud, and lost of ice and freezing conditions!

Rider woke up on race morning to thirty degree temps and 20mph gusts was a bit of a vibe kill but everyone started and hopefully finished!

In the full 100 mile "Psycho Killer" race Jorden Wakeley (Northbound Outfitters/GIANT Bicycles) won in a time of 5h 40m 11s, just ahead of last years winner, Connor Kamm (3T / Q+M) with Jason Lowetz (Bearclaw Bicycle Co) third 4 minutes later.

For the women in the 100 mile race, Cynthia Frazier (Velocio // Exploro) was first in a time of 6h 55m 26s ahead of Jill Martindale (Salsa Cycles) second and Claudia Ferreira (Wolverine Sport Club/ACF Stores).

Jorden Wakeley said afterwards, "Snow, wind, cold and wind were the name of the game today. Broke away with 100K to go with last years winner, Connor Kamm, and stuck it all the way to the finish."

In the 62 mile race, Adam Roberge (Jukebox Cycling) was first in a time of 2h 41m 18s just ahead of John Borstelmann (Abus Pro Gravel) in second and Alexey Vermeulen (Jukebox Pro Cycling) in third place.

In the women’s 62 mile race, Paige Peters (ABUS Pro Gravel) won in a time of 2h 55m 29s, beating Austin Killips (Pratt Racing) second and Andrea Cyr (Butcherbox Cycling) in third.

Caden Budd won the 36 mile race in 1h 47m 53s and James Meyer won the 18 mile race in a time of 58m 5s.

Organizers did a sweep of all the routes to make sure everyone made it back to the start in Hastings, Michigan.
