Travel: The Costa del Sol and Andalusian region is famous for cycling

The Costa del Sol and Andalusian region are famous for cycling. Where else can you cycle through medieval towns and villages, freewheeling through the desert, climb high mountains, and relax on the beach after a hard day in the saddle?

Go for it and challenge yourself in the beautiful Sierra Nevada range. Visit cities like Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, Marbella, and Malaga or inland in the cozy town of Ronda.

For cycling, we recommend the routes into the backyards of the Costa del Sol. From Calahonda, you cycle up to the coastal town of La Cala de Mijas and here you take the road up to Alhaurin el Grande. From here on start the loop ride through the typical whitewash villages of Coin, Pizarra, or Alora. Back in Alhaurin, you freewheel down back to the coastline. Please note it’s for fit cyclists only!

Where else can you cycle through medieval towns and villages, freewheeling through the desert, climb high mountains, and relax on the beach after a hard day in the saddle?

Avoid bustling Costa del Sol on peaceful roads and climb up with spectacular viewpoints over the Sierra Blanca and the Mediterranean Sea.
