Registration Still Open for the 44th Annual Milan-San Remo Gran Fondo

Amateur cyclists from Europe, North America confirm attendance

Six months from now on June 8, sports lovers from around the world will converge on Italy to participate in the Milan – San Remo Gran Fondo.

In 2013, more than 1,150 athletes traveled from around the world (Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Brazil, the United States and Canada) to participate in the amateur cycling race.

The 2014 event is no different as numerous groups from Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States have confirmed that they will be attending the race.

The race, which has been dubbed the amateur “Spring Classic,”  allows amateur cyclists to put their skills to the test on the route of the real Milan-San Remo Spring Classic, one of the top five competitions in the world.

This year’s race will also feature some interesting innovations. An official announcement concerning these changes will be made in the coming months, but they will make the event even more enjoyable and secure for participants.

The Milan – San Remo Cyclosportive began in 1969 thanks to the efforts of the Union Cicloturistica San Remo. Since then, the event has become one of the most famous amatuer cycling events in Italy.
