Are You Ready for the 2014 Toronto International Bicycle Show?

Are You Ready for the 2014 Toronto International Bicycle Show?It is appropriate that this is the 28th Annual Toronto International Bicycle Show, as it opens on the 28th day of February and continues to March 2. We are very excited as this upcoming show has developed into the best presentation ever of the bicycle industry so you do not want to miss it!

Here are some of the highlights:

The BMX Jam which is one of the show's most popular features will now also include a Mountain Bike freestyle competition for the first time. The Freestyle market is changing. There are major international freestyle events for mountain bikes as well as for the BMX market.  The sport of Mountain Bike freestyle is growing dramatically.  However, this does not mean that the fascination with BMX Freestyle is diminishing.  Because of the continued popularity of BMX freestyle, we will once again have some of the top BMX riders competing in both the Amateur and Professional classes.

Also, the show will host the Toronto Mountain Bike Championships Dual Race & Stunt Competition again this year. The action begins on Fridaynight featuring the Pro-only Tim DaSilva Challenge Race and continues all weekend long.  This Mountain Bike Course will challenge riders to compete for BIG air and Racing for cash competitions all weekend long.  You do not want to miss the non-stop action in the Mountain Bike area!

For the second year, the Bike Polo Toronto organization and the Toronto International Bicycle Show will present the Great Lakes Winter Classic. The "Great Lakes Winter Classic" Bike Polo Tournament is the first major event on the Bike Polo international calendar for 2014. Bike Polo is an innovative team sport which combines the bicycle skills of trials riders with the fast paced action of hockey. Teams and players from all over Canada, the USA and Europe have been invited to participate.  Currently, teams from as far away as San Francisco, Vancouver, UK, Germany and France are included in the competition.

As always the show gives you an opportunity to explore and/or to buy the latest and best options in bicycles and bicycle accessories and apparel for 2014. Leading manufacturers and distributors will be displaying their latest product in the Manufacturers Showcase area. You can also buy the latest bicycle products from the main Toronto and surrounding area bicycle retailers located in the Retail Marketplace area.

Note to all parents:  We also offer a Kid's Entertainment Centre.  This is a special fun-filled area which will ensure that your children are entertained (adult supervision required).  This area features Tot's Wheels, Bouncing Castle, Face Painting, Glitter Tattoos, a unicycle juggler and "Ballooning" by Ladybug the Clown.
