Medellín hosted Rigo's Giro, a tribute to his flawless career, attracting over 11,000 cyclists, both amateurs and professionals, to participate in the farewell event in Antioquia, Colombia. The route traversed key regions including Avenida Las Palmas, San Vicente Ferrer, Barbosa, Girardota, and Bello.

The challenging race to bid farewell to Rigoberto featured 11 hydration and supply stations for the 155 km Legend challenge and 4 for the 65 km Mythical challenge. The Red Cross was vigilant along the roads to provide support in case of any incidents.

Moreover, the race saw both Colombian and international cyclists eager to honor Rigoberto Urán's sports career, with the winner being a previous champion from the last editions. Yet, this event will be remembered most for the celebration it represented in Medellín.

Following a strenuous race to pay homage to the retiring cyclist, over 11,000 participants aimed to reach this objective at the finish line. The victor, Óscar Tovar, crossed the finish line alone, visibly thrilled to clinch the title in this farewell edition. Tovar, who had previously triumphed in the Giro de Rigo in 2022, faced immense tension and pressure but ultimately repeated his victory, joyously dedicating it to his family.

Rigo didn't  finish on his own. He was joined by professional cyclists; Alejandro "El Bala" Valverde, Joaquín "Purito" Rodríguez, Mariana Pajón, Daniel Felipe Martínez, Harold Tejada, Fernando Gaviria, Santiago Buitrago, María Luisa Calle, Santiago Botero, and others.

Carlos Vives, the singer, also made an appearance. Standing on the stage steps in white sneakers and the official Giro attire, he quipped with a line from one of his songs: "Hey Carlos, take me on your bike," which he sang out. His emergence at the top of the stage sent the audience into a frenzy.
