Bike the Benchlands offers cycling enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the beauty of Ontario’s wine country while contributing to a worthy cause. Riders can choose from four different routes: a leisurely 20 km wine tour, or more challenging 50 km, 75 km, and 100 km options. Each route promises breathtaking views of vineyards and the tranquil rural countryside that characterizes the Niagara region.

Registration for the event opens at 7 AM at the Fleming Centre, where participants are encouraged to arrive an hour early to check in. Each cyclist will receive a detailed map of their chosen route along with refreshments, including coffee, muffins, and fruit, to fuel their ride. Throughout the event, rest stops will be available, providing snacks and drinks to keep riders energized.

The fun route offers a relaxed cycling experience, with the option to visit local attractions such as Dillon's Small Batch Distillers, Bench Brewing, and Black Bank Hill winery. The 50 km tour is perfect for those looking for an exhilarating ride through picturesque landscapes, while the 75 km and 100 km tours cater to more experienced riders seeking a rigorous challenge through the scenic Niagara Escarpment.

Upon completing their ride, participants can enjoy a catered lunch and a complimentary beverage, along with a bottle of wine from our generous sponsors. The event not only promotes health and wellness but also fosters a sense of community and supports local youth initiatives.

"The Rotary Club of Lincoln is dedicated to celebrating Healthy Communities," said Cathy Serkeyn from the Rotary Club of Lincoln. "Bike the Benchlands is a wonderful way to promote cycling in our area while raising funds for important youth programs. We are proud to support the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre, which plays a crucial role in our community."
