Riders will be treated to breathtaking views of the Stirling Ranges, particularly between Bluff Knoll and Mount Barker, as well as serene farmland and vibrant landscapes filled with native birdlife. The trail is designed to be accessible year-round, encouraging both seasoned cyclists and newcomers to enjoy the adventure at their own pace.

In addition to the natural beauty, cyclists will find ample food and accommodation options along the route, ensuring they can replenish supplies without the need to carry everything they need for the journey. For a complete list of amenities, riders are encouraged to visit the Wild Gravel website.

The Wild Gravel Trail is inspired by the successful Wild Gravel event, a mass participation gravel cycling and running festival that debuted in 2024 within the Stirling Ranges. Following last year’s success, the event is set to return on 11 October 2025, further promoting the region as a premier destination for gravel riding.

“The Wild Gravel Trail is an exciting addition to our community and a great way to showcase the unique landscapes of Gnowangerup,” said Shire President “We hope this trail will attract gravel riding enthusiasts from near and far, allowing them to experience the beauty of our region while enjoying a fun and adventurous ride.”

The Shire of Gnowangerup is committed to promoting outdoor recreation and tourism in Western Australia. With a focus on sustainable practices and community engagement, the Shire aims to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
