Zavislan and Dannelley take the KOM and QOM awards at the l'Etape du California
800 cyclists became a pro for a day and experienced one of the Amgen Tour of California 's toughest stages to Mount Baldy
The steep switchbacks up to the Mt. Baldy Ski Area at 6,500 feet elevation could serve as the deciding factor in crowning the overall champion for this year's race which starts on May 11th.

Mt. Baldy is located 45 miles from downtown Los Angeles and is a popular location for hikers, sightseers and cyclists year-round. Cyclists from far and wide visit Mt. Baldy to climb the challenging switchbacks, which ascend over 2,000 in only 4.3 miles.
Around 800 riders enjoyed, 5 Feed Stations featuring nutrition bars, real food, and electrolyte drink, Bag Transfer from Start to Finish, a Post Ride Meal and Entertainment and SRAM Mechanic Support during the ride and at the Expo.
The QOM and KOM awards are a combination of the fastest overall time on the 3 combined climbs.

The first place Men's and Women's King of the Mountain Champions have won an entry, a rental bike, and a hotel to take part in the Etape du Tour, a stage of this year's Tour de France alomg with 15,000 amateur cyclists.
