2018 Etape Du Tour Revealed

The 28th Edition of L’Etape takes place on July 8th, just nine days before the pro peloton tackle the same stage on July 17th, after the full 2018 Tour de France route was revealed today in Paris.
Stage 10 honours the French Resistance of World War Two.
Annecy hosts the start of L’Etape, starting the 169 kilometre challenge through the mountains which features several gruelling climbs and some gravel on the Plateau des Glières.
The real climbing starts after just 40 kilometres, with the Col de la Croix-Fry which rises 1,477 metres above sea level.
The stage descends, then tackles the gruelling ascent to Plateau des Glières. This seven kilometre climb is at average gradient of 11 per cent and includes a 1.5km section of gravel track towards the top
