Amazing Inner-City Course for UCI Brisbane Gran Fondo
Brisbane makes its mark on the world stage, with an 110km inner-city road course
Three bridges, two motorways, two tunnels, and one mountain are just a few things that make this secured ride and race amazing.
Unveiled this week in Brisbane, Australia, was the full course of the inaugural Tour de Brisbane UCI Gran Fondo, based throughout the inner-city network in a challenging looped race.
The course starts and finishes at South Bank on the Brisbane river, offering three distances – a family friendly 8km ride, a 45km ride for those who want to experience the thrill of an international calibre course in a safe environment and an 110km UCI Gran Fondo Qualifier.
Iconic landmarks along the course include the Story Bridge, inner CBD, Coronation Drive, the Legacy Way Tunnel, and Mt Coot-Tha, before continuing along the South East Busway to the pesky hills on Ford Avalon Road before returning back to South Bank.
