With the weather forecast looking sunny and warm for the weekend of March 15-17, the Malibu GRANFONDO has released important details about the upcoming event.

Registration Price Increase and Closing Dates

Registration for the ONE-DAY Malibu GRANFONDO (March 16) and the TWO-DAY Complete Experience (March 16-17) will increase on Wednesday, February 27. Registration for both events will close on March 10, and there will be no day-of registration. 

Tour de France star Fränk Schleck to ride Malibu GRANFONDO

Winner of two Tour de France stages and the Amstel Gold Race, five-time National Road Race Champion of Luxembourg, and third-place overall finisher of the 2011 Tour de France, Fränk Schleck had a tremendously successful 15-year career as a professional cyclist. He will be taking part in a number of events during the Malibu GRANFONDO weekend, including the Challenged Athletes Foundation Reception on Friday night, the Malibu GRANFONDO on Saturday, and the Saturday evening wine reception.

Pedalers Fork hosting Challenged Athletes Foundation Reception and Dinner with Chef Matthew Accarrino

Cyclists and cycling fans are encouraged to join the Malibu GRANFONDO and celebrity guests for a VIP reception, dinner, and wine pairing prepared by Michelin Star Chef Matthew Accarrino, owner of SPQR in San Francisco. The reception will be hosted by Pedalers Fork in Calabasas, CA, from 7:00-9:30pm on Friday, March 15, and will include a celebrity meet and greet with Tour de France star Fränk Schleck, professional cyclist Alison Tetrick, and CAF Athletes. There will be a CAF Grant Presentation and an auction to benefit CAF (items include a complimentary entry into Haute Route San Francisco, ALE Malibu GRANFONDO jerseys, and much more). Tickets are available for $150 and proceeds benefit Challenged Athletes Foundation.
