Massive Attack: Frenchman Remi Cavagna solos to stage 3 win at the Tour of California
Cavagna struck out from the two-man breakaway before riding solo for 45 miles to the finish over brutal Mount Hamilton as Tejay van Garderen defends leader's jersey
Remi Cavagna and Alex Hoehn (USA National Team) went away and established a breakaway lead of over 10 minutes.
The peloton led by EF not really interested in chasing.
Remi Cavagna struck out leaving Alex Hoehn struggled on his own.
Simon Geschke (CCC Team) and Ben King were second and third respectively after attackimg out of the peloton, overhauling a totally spent Alex Hoehn who was in pieces at the end of the stage.
Remi Cavagna was at the very limit at the end of the stage but pressed on to take his second win.
Tejay van Garderen safely finished in the bunch behind to stay in the Golden leaders jersey.
