Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series finished 2 weeks ago in South Africa with Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic to detemine the final series winners, Celine Schärer from Switzerland and Stephane Cognet from France finished as the best Gran Fondo cyclists in the world after 14 events globally
The top three on the women's podium was completed with Notelberg second and Voecker third.
For the men, previous winner Jonas Orset (Norway) was second and Nikita Feodorokin (Kazakhstan) finished third.
These top 6 will share the $36,000 USD in cash prizes between them, all completed more than 3 events in the 2019 Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series.

The one day North American Gran Fondo World Championships ® took place in Carmel, Indiana at Rollfast Gran Fondo. North American cyclists Arielle Coy de Vega and Kyle Perry were crowned North American World Champions, the fastest Gran Fondo cyclists in the world, winning the $3,000 USD cash prize.
The 2019 Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series, consisted of 14 events in 4 continents, hosting 53,256 participants across all the events and distances including the Ride with GPS challenge and the virtual segment Strava challenge promoted by Pro Tour Cyclist Carlos Verona (team Movistar).
Gran Fondo World Tour ® is one of the biggest Gran Fondo communities in the world and growing quickly year by year.
2.6 milions of miles were covered by participants across all the events who represented 100 countries around the world.
This was the last year of the current ranking system, next year it will change to a rolling ranking system year on year, following world ranking systems in other sports, like the ATP or PGA tour recognising the best Gran Fondo cyclists in the world.
The 2020 calendar will be revealed in late November 2019, with new destinations in South East Asia, South America and Europe.
