One of California's fastest growing Fondo's, which attracted over 800 riders in its third edition, is back again this fall on November 14, 2020

Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley have a long history with national and international-level cycling events, including stages of the Amgen Tour of California. The area is also known worldwide as an ideal location for pre-season training camps for professional cycling teams.
Amateur cyclists participating in the event will all start together on Saturday morning and choose from four marked routes (100, 64, 44, and 38 miles). The longer three routes feature an ascent of Figueroa Mountain, and all routes feature Ballard Canyon Road made famous to cyclists by the Amgen Tour of California.
CTS are adding a fifth route this year, the Four Canyons route is a 75 mile route on some of the beautiful roads, but without the Figueroa Mountain climb.

While there are beautiful vineyards lining the country roads of the Fig Fondo, this is no smooth wine country tour. Test your descending prowess on soul-stirring switchbacks, and experience sections of road that’ll make you think you’ve been thrown into the middle of Paris-Roubaix.

Friendly volunteers will greet you at aid stations stocked with water and a variety of fresh and packaged foods, as well as sports nutrition products from ProBar, Fluid, and GU Energy. Ride with the added assurance that pros from Shimano Multi-Service Support are on course to keep you and your bike rolling.
Remember your Fig Fondo experience comes with free photos, with professional photographers on course, and free downloads available.
The coach-led pace groups at last year's CTS Figueroa Mountain Gran Fondo events were a big hit, so CTS coaches will once again be out on course helping athlete’s work together and have a great experience!
Last year's event attracted top professional's including EF Education First rider Tejay Van Garderen, Olympic medalist and World Champion Mari Holden, Olympian Mara Abbott, Dirty Kanza 200 Champion Alison Tetrick, and of course CTS Founder Chris Carmichael.
After the pedaling is done, join everyone for a delicious lunch from local Solvang restaurants, beer from Figueroa Mountain Brewery and local wines, with Live Music and the KOM/QOM and the King/Queen of the Cobbles awards.

For families, juniors ride FREE (18 and under) and there’s a FREE kids race too.
The ride benefits Los Padres ForestWatch non-profit, which protects wildlife, wilderness, water, and sustainable access throughout the Los Padres National Forest and the Carrizo Plain National Monument.

Free Climbing & Descending Clinic!

Hundreds of cyclists will join CTS for their fourth edition of the CTS Figueroa Mountain Gran Fondo, but only a dozen will be their VIP guest athletes for the entire week leading up to the big event. Join Chris Carmichael and top CTS coaches for this week of great riding, exceptional CTS support, delicious meals, and VIP treatment at this all-inclusive cycling camp.
You’ll stay at the host hotel and join CTS professional coaches for the best rides of the Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara. Your bike will be cleaned and tuned daily by professional mechanics and you’ll experience daily massage and ride feedback from a personal coach. You’ll also have a front row call-up on the morning of the Gran Fondo.
