Gran Fondo World Tour ®  Gravel Series lands in Rwanda at the Gorilla Gravel Race

From 10-12th June, Kigali and Lake Ruhondo in the North Volcanoes region will host the African round of the 2022 Gran Fondo World Tour ® Gravel Series

Whith 3 stages, first a 100 km Baby Gorilla stage, second a 25 km time trial and a finally a 150 km long distance Silverback stage in high mountains the 3 days of racing will certainly challenge all participants. 

Gorilla Gravel is 4 days of camping, 3 days of racing different formats, 325 km of distance and 6,000m of elevation gain. All in the heart of Africa!

About the 2022 Gran Fondo World Tour ® Gravel Series

With 8 events in 4 continents, GFWT ® launch this additional events as part of regular calendar embracing the new #gravel way.

The calendar will work with same points and system as road series, but will add a new category for one who complete almost 3 events of the series in gravel .

Spain, France, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, USA, Italy and Rwanda offer an extended offer to enjoy the different gravel landscapes.  Searching for an explorational “philosophy”  and avoiding the pure competition component proposed by UCI or other federations.  Embracing this new scenarios as Africa, Central Asia, USA mid mountain areas and European paths.
