Gran Fondo World Tour ® Announces 2023 Series Calendar

16 events across 4 continents allows cyclists to collect series points for world ranking. New races, exciting destinations and VIP experiences. South Korea to host the Gran Fondo World Championship ®

Focused on the splendour of cycling in the most remarkable locations, each event of the 2023 international series offers avid cyclists a memorable cycling experience with the personalized challenge of racing the clock, the route and each other.

“Our series is now in our 8th season and we continue to expand our Gran Fondo philosophy around the world. The new destinations joining our series complimenting the returning destinations we know so well. Our series offers world class challenges, in new exciting locations, all with the quality of organisation and safety that the GFWT is known for,” said Gran Fondo World Tour® CEO Dani Buyo.

The 2023 series features the challenging Vermont countryside in America, the steep South Korean landscapes of Seorak National Park, the sunny weather of the Canary Islands and the extreme conditions of ultra-racing from Trondheim to Oslo in Norway. The series starts mid-February with the EPIC Gran Canari Rui Hotels.

“The GRAN FONDO WORLD TOUR® now has a rolling ranking system for all members, focused on participation, rather than winning. Points are accumulated in all events and held for a year with recognition on our platform for anyone who participates in more than one event and a ranking for those who have accumulated the most points in the past twelve months.” added Buyo.

Gran Fondo World Tour® Series ranking is open to all cyclists, regardless of ability.

Become a GFWT Member for FREE and complete one event, it’s that easy.

Once a participant finishes one event, they enter the series ranking, with the a man and woman receiving a leader’s jersey after each event.

Each month, a random ranking number will be drawn and that rider will receive a GFWT gift!

Seorak Gran Fondo Giant, South Korea will host the Gran Fondo World Championship ® 2023

The 2023 Seorak Granfondo & Gran Fondo World Championship ® will be held from 19-20 May 2023.

No qualification required for direct entry into the World Championship in for your age category.

Age categories include Junior 16-18, Senior 18-39, Masters 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60+ for both men and women. In addition there will be an overall ranking crowning the 2023 GFWT® World Champion and special custom World Championship jersey. Time Trial race day before and Prize Money for world champions overall winner man/woman.
