GFNY Global Endurance Sports Series announces GFNY Mandalika
Scheduled for May 28, 2023, the GFNY Mandalika Gran distance stretches over 136km with 1,675m of climbing
Start and finish will be hosted at the international race track at Mandalika Street Circuit. The one year young track located on the southern part of Indonesia’s Lombok island, has already hosted events such as the Superbike World Championship.
After an initial loop on the track, the course is first flat and then undulating for the next 70 kilometers along the stunning coast. The last 50km present more climbing challenges before the finish loop back again on the race track.
“We’re excited to be back with a GFNY in Lombok where GFNY held its first Asian race back in 2016,” says GFNY co-founder Lidia Fluhme.
“Tenne Permatasari and Axel Moller have built an incredible following in Indonesia since back then with races in Lombok, Bali and Northern Sumatra. In between the races, the team is holding group rides around the country that always attract several hundred riders. Their following is so loyal to GFNY that 700 Indonesians traveled to the inaugural GFNY Kuala Lumpur last week.”
Mandalika is a popular tourist destination, located on the south coast of Lombok. It is known for its long white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean and rich culture and history. GFNY riders, families and friends will enjoy a variety of activities such as surfing, snorkeling, diving and shopping.
