Norway’s Longest Sportive Styrkeprøven boasts 3 distances this June
The 57th edition Styrkeprøven, aka the Great Trial of Strength , takes place the weekend of the June 14-16, 2024
In 2024, Styrkeprøven offer three distances. The classic 520km Trondheim-Oslo at 520 km, 180 km Lillehammer-Oslo and 61 km Eidsvoll-Oslo. There are several changes to the route from previous years and there is a new finish area at Grorud in Oslo.
For ladies, there’s the special Women’s Velo that rides the 180km Lillehammer-Oslo distance as a women’s only group designed to encourage and inspire more women to actively participate.
Over 1,000 riders from around the world are already registered, with the classic 520k Trondheim-Oslo being the most popular distance with over 500 signed up and over 400 for the 180km Lillehammer-Oslo distance.
The final routes are yet to be announced after a minor permit issue with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration over marshalling the course which has now been resolved, the race is definitely taking place this June 14-16, 2024!
The event is part of the 2024 Gran Fondo World Tour® ROAD series.
