30th edition continues as part of the Gran Fondo World Tour series, as it welcomes riders worldwide on Bastille Day!
La Maurienne Valley in Savoie, France is one of the best locations to cycle up the famous Tour de France climbs, and remains one of the most legendary places in the cycling world!
The new Gran Fondo takes place in the Massif des Sybelles, starting and finishing La Toussuire, used regularly by major cycling events including the Tour de France and its arrival at the summit with a 360° view of the Sybelles and the Aiguilles d'Arves mountains.
The Gran Fondo has three routes to allow cyclists of all abilities to enjoy the of the Gran Fondo Les Sybelles la Toussuire, with timed and non-timed categories. All routes are secure and signposted.
The Piccolo Fondo is 52km that will suit beginners and novices. The 88km Medio Fondo will suit intermediate cyclists and the Gran Fondo is 132km is ideally suited to more competitive intermediate and advanced cyclists.
There is a huge range of accommodation in La Toussuire, including hotels, chalets and a camping site. There is a free parking area for your vehicle and your motorhome for the event.
The event is also part of the La Toussuire Bike Week which allows athletes to ride the Gran Fondo, the La Toussuire TT, climb the famous passes of the Col de la Croix de Fer, Col de la Madeleine, the Opinel and the Col du Galibier on closed roads the week of July 13th to July 21st. It’s also designed for families in mind with activities for everyone.
The event is also part of the 2024 Cyclo’Tour series, a collection of 7 Gran Fondos, 7 Gravel Fondos and 5 Mountain Bike events.
