Meet the weekend of August 24 & 25, 2024 at the departure from St Jorioz for the Lac d’Annecy bike ride. For the 2nd consecutive year, dVélos is the title sponsor.
With its picture postcard setting, between the shores of Lake Annecy and the Bauges Regional Natural Park, Lake Annecy Bikes will take you on small quiet roads and famous climbs including the Col de Leschaux or the Col du Semnoz.
On Saturday, two events are on the programme: a individual time trial climb to surpass yourself on a given segment and a Gravel Fondo to discover the charms of the Massif des Bauges.
On Sunday, it's time to choose between three Fondo’s accessible either competitive timed or non-timed more relaxed social ride.
Its exceptional routes rank the event amongst the top 50 most beautiful Granfondos in the world and one of the most promising, all in a friendly and warm atmosphere!
The 130km Gran Fondo is part of the Gran Fondo World Tour® ROAD Series. A ranking with races spread across 5 continents throughout the year, with Pro Cycling Stats ranking amateur gravel riders in partnership with Gran Fondo World Tour ® Series, providing an amateur ranking for gravel riding lovers. This ranking will be linked to the Gran Fondo World Tour ROAD series ranking, which covers a full calendar of events around the world where riders can pick up points.
Grimpee du Semnoz - Saturday August 24th
A 24 km time trial with 1,200m of climbing. What's better than a little warm-up before heading out on the Sunday courses?
Take part in the Montée du Semnoz time trial and discover a breath-taking panorama at the summit with a 360° view of Lake Annecy, the Bauges Massif, the Alps and Mont Blanc.
With an altitude of 1,660m, the Crêt de Chatillon is the highlight of the climb. From the Col de Leschaux, allow 13.5 km of ascent at 6%, the maximum slope will be 9% over 1.2 km, but be careful, the distance between each hairpin will seem very long to you. The final will be quite easy with the last 700 meters at 4.5%.
Alps Adventure Gravel - Saturday August 24th
- 71km Gravel Fondo and 1,665m of climbing! Timed or non-timed categories.
- 33km Gravel Fondo with 700m of climbing – non-timed.
With a playground as vast as the Massif des Bauges it was normal that we introduce you to its other side, even more natural and unusual! A pass more than 1,500m high, a panorama of some of the highest peaks of the Bauges and a good dose of local fauna and flora, that's what awaits you!
This course is part of the Gravel'Tour Cannondale, a challenge bringing together 7 of the most beautiful gravel events in France!
Participating in the Gravel'Tour Cannondale means taking part in a cycling season full of local produce and new trails to discover.
Tour du Châtelard - Sunday August 25th
55km between lake and mountains with 1,150m of elevation gain!
Montée de la Magne, Col de Leschaux, a short tour in the valley to the village of Châtelard before going up the Col de Leschaux and letting yourself be carried to Lake Annecy, here is the profile of the Tour de Chatelard route. There is one aid station out on course.
Bauges Route - Sunday August 25th
A 110km Medio Fondo with 2,050m of climbing.
The Bauges route takes you on a beautiful loop in the heart of the Massif, towards the Pont de l'Abime, the Col de Plainpalais, Aillon le Jeune and Chatelard! The return to Saint-Jorioz via the Col de Leschaux is easy!
Timed or non-timed categories. There are 3 aid stations out on course.
Semnoz Route - Sunday August 25th
A 130km Gran Fondo with 2,850m of climbing.
The Semnoz route takes you on a beautiful loop in the heart of the Bauges towards the Pont de l'Abime, the Col de Plainpalais, Aillon le Jeune and Chatelard climbs.
Before meeting up with the participants of the Bauges route, you will have to climb the Crêt de Chatillon, better known as Semnoz.
