The Granfondo takes place on Sunday 22nd September 2024 as part of the programme of the continent’s largest cycling festival, the Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona p/b Continental

Starting and finishing at Sea Otter Europe in Girona, the famous ride offers a choice of three routes taking in the most captivating landscapes in the Girona region, cycling along the Costa Brava coastline and visiting charming villages on Sunday 22 September 2024.

The longest distance of the La Ciclobrava by Orbea climbs the mountain passes of Sant Grau d’Ardenya, Romanyà, La Ganga and Montjuïc used in La Volta 2019, covering a total of 150 km and 2,000 metres of climbing.

The intermediate distance will reach 100 km and 1,150 metres of climbing, including the mountain passes of Romanyà, La Ganga, Montjuïc and Madremanya.

Finally, the most accessible distance covers a total of 70 km and 800 metres of climbing including the mountain passes of Santa Pellaia, Madremanya and Montjuïc - a perfect option for participants that want to have enough time to visit the festival without loosing the option to participate in th fondo in the morning.

Registration for the La Ciclobrava by Orbea includes participation in the race, a race bib, the official jersey of the seventh edition of the Ciclobrava by Wear Design, access to feed zones along the route and at the finish, as well as medical assistance and final refreshments upon completion.

The La Ciclobrava by Orbea starts and finishes right at the entrance to Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental, so that you can enjoy the festival both before and after the cycle tour. Visit the different stands, see the new products presented by exhibiting brands and take advantage of the bike testing programme offered by brands for visitors.

Once again this year, the Ciclobrava by Orbea takes part in the 2024 Gran Fondo World Tour ROAD series. A ranking with races spread across 5 continents throughout the year. In collaboration with the Gran Fondo World Tour® Series, Pro Cycling Stats provides an amateur road bike rating which facilitate a classification of fans of the road cyclists included in the calendar.

The Gran Fondo World Tour® ROAD ranking is open to all cyclists, regardless of their level. You can join GFWT® for free and participate in your events. As soon as an event is completed, it is added to the scoreboard. The leader receives a leader’s jersey after each event. Each month, a randomly selected participant will receive a special gift.

GFWT® rankings are meant to inspire, motivate and build a strong cycling community.
