22 cyclists crowned 2024 UCI Gran Fondo World Champions in Denmark
Over 3,000 amateur cyclists from around the world started the UCI Gran Fondo / Medio Fondo World Championship races on Sunday morning 1 September in Aalborg, Denmark
The largest and most competitive field was the Men’s 19-34 category with 434 competitors competing for a rainbow jersey, won by 2023 GFNY World Champion Mattia Gaffuri who soloed to victory.
The 152km Gran Fondo race included 1,326m of climbing and awarded coveted rainbow jerseys in various age/gender categories, from 19-59 years-old for men and 19-49 for women. Masters raced the 114km Medio Fondo with 960m of climbing.
