The Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR) continues to redefine gravel cycling in 2025 with the launch of the Quad-Tripel Crown of Gravel Series and a thrilling new venue for the legendary Belgian Waffle Ride California (BWR CA) at the breathtaking Del Mar Polo Fields.
This iconic event, located near the ocean and Del Mar Fairgrounds, just minutes from the San Diego airport, will host Southern California's largest cycling festival from April 25-27, 2025.
The festival features a weekend of diverse cycling events, including the 14th Annual BWR CA (the Unroad Race), the inaugural Belgian Waffle Run, and the all-new Belgian Waffle Roadie-Oh, a grand fondo road event. These events will benefit Curebound in support of cancer research.
Introducing the Quad-Tripel Crown of Gravel
The Quad-Tripel Crown of Gravel Series presents an epic challenge for cyclists with four unique and demanding races in Arizona, California, Utah, and the new addition of Bozeman, Montana. To earn the prestigious Quad-Tripel Crown title, riders must complete at least three of the four races, celebrated for their variety and toughness.
In addition to the Quad-Tripel Crown Series, BWR has moved the BWR North Carolina to October, with British Columbia in the summer, and Mexico in November, plus the inaugural BWR Monterey (CA), offering distinct and challenging courses outside of the series.

The relocation of BWR California to the Del Mar Polo Fields brings a fresh and elevated experience to its 14th edition. This scenic venue offers expansive festival grounds and coastal routes, providing a perfect setting for riders to conquer new road and unroad sectors. The BWR Festival in Del Mar will feature the inaugural Belgian Waffle Run, and the all-new Belgian Waffle.
Roadie-Oh, a grand fondo road event, along with an expanded Unroad Expo with the Lost Abbey beer garden, lots of food options, tons of waffles, family fun, and a wide array of vendors.
