Grand Depart in Hauts-de-France: This exciting kickoff in Hauts-de-France promises a sprint finish in Lille—think speed, adrenaline, and a mad dash for the first yellow jersey!

This year’s route is shaping up to be one for the ages, packed with legendary climbs, historic stages, and edge-of-your-seat excitement.
Here’s what we we know!
The 112th edition of the Tour de France starts in Lille in the Nord department on the 5th July 2025.
The first stage is a flat loop around Lille which will favor the sprinters. The second stage will see the peloton travel east to west between Lauwin-Planque and Boulogne-sur-Mer on a hilly stage.
The third stage starts in Valenciennes, which makes its return to the route of the Tour after a 34-year absence. Dunkirk, which hosted the Grand Départ in 2001 as well as a stage start on the Tour in 2022 will be welcoming the finish of the third stage.
Lastly, the start in Amiens will be the last opportunity to thank the inhabitants of the Hauts-de-France region.

The 2025 L'Etape du Tour, typically one of the toughest mountain stages ridden by over 15,000 amateur cyclists will also be revealed, with registration opening on Thursday October 31st.
