The Oregon Trail Gravel Stage Race returns as a round of the Gravel Earth Series, The five-day gravel stage race in Oregon will share the marquee with events like the Traka, the Migration Gravel Race, and the Rift.

Gorge Gravel - April 27th, 2025

Gorge Gravel is the perfect early spring event welcoming riders of all abilities with an innovative gravel pace group program, for a supportive and inclusive ride for and beginners and intermediates.

Test your fitness coming out of the winter with beautiful views, pure gravel camaraderie, and a pre and post-ride celebration based in Oregon's gem of gravel, Dufur, Oregon. 

Dufur is one of the best springtime riding secrets in the Northwest. Moderate marine air flowing inland from the coast, coupled with being just on the other side of the Cascade Mountain Range rain shadow, it’s your best bet for sun and warm temps from March through May each year

The Gravel is well-packed, smooth and fast. Spring rains provide good moisture keeping the dust down. No portion of the courses exceeds double digits for climbing or descending. Just a lot of fast rolling hills, ideal for dialing in your form ahead of a long season.

Gorge sells out in advance every year and the team at Breakaway Promotions wants to make sure you can saddle up for this early-season gravel grinder with something for every riding level with the 45-mile Small Grinder (great for first-timers), 65-mile Medium Grinder, and the 100-mile Big Grinder.

Categories include; pro, juniors, open men, open women, master’s men and women, riders from beginner to expert will have a great day in the saddle! Awards go to the top three for each category.

Registration includes; a Custom Pint Glass, Lunch, Custom T-Shirt, Beer, Well Stocked Aid Stations, Well Marked and Amazing Courses, Chip Timing and Mechanical Support!

There are well-stocked aid stations are located every 20-25 miles along the course. There is tent camping, car camping, and RV hook-up spots available for rent at Dufur City Park. 

There will be a Party in the Park after the ride. Bring your appetite as Spin Catering will be providing everyone with an awesome lunch and post-ride cheers and tasty celebratory brews from Fat Tire. There will be music, a beer garden, and games on hand to keep you entertained.

Cascade Gravel - June 1st, 2025

Cascade Gravel is one of the most scenic and diverse gravel events in the country. Located in Sisters, Oregon the event provides an amazing ride through the Central Oregon high desert and Cascade Mountain range.

Bend is home to thousands of miles of remote gravel roads, and June is a great time of year for experiencing the beauty of Central Oregon where average daily temps range between 60-80F. The air is clear, the mountains still gleam with white snow and roads have minimal dust packdown by the moisture.

Breakaway Promotions wants to make sure you can saddle up for this early-season gravel race with something for every ride level with the 44-mile Small Grinder, 63-mile Medium Grinder, and the 91-mile Big Grinder.

Again competitive race categories include, pro, open, junior and masters. Awards go to the top three for each category.

Registration includes a Commemorative T-shirt, Commemorative Pint Glass, Cascade Gravel Badge Patch, Well-Stocked Aid Stations, Mechanical Support, Ride Celebration Lunch and Beer Bar.

Oregon Trail Gravel Stage Race – June 25-29th, 2025

The undisputed “Grand Tour of Gravel”, the Oregon Trail Gravel Stage Race is an unforgettable experience that takes cyclists through stunning Oregon scenery in the heart of the Cascades, an all-inclusive Bike Vacation.

Over the course of five days, participants will ride through a variety of terrain, from dense forests to wide open valleys, enjoying nature at its finest. This event is not only a test of physical endurance, but also an opportunity to connect with the local community, experience their hospitality, and immerse yourself in the unique culture of the region. 

Each night, the camp becomes a place of celebration and camaraderie, creating unforgettable memories. Starting and finishing in the outdoor mecca of Bend, Oregon participants will ride 365 miles of Oregon’s most scenic and breath-taking gravel roads, with fully-supported fireside campouts and entertainment to rest and refuel each night.

Riders have the option to pick the following categories:

- Pioneer is around 365 miles with around 30,000 feet of climbing
- Settler is around 250 miles with around 15,000 feet of climbing
- Iron Horse- e-bike category doing the Settler distance
- Tag Team- Tackle the Pioneer distance with one of your best friends and alternate days of riding
- Buddy Package- sign-up with a friend and get the best deal possible
