The Bird Dog 100 showcases country roads in and around Burke County, Georgia. What these roads lack in elevation, they make up for in challenge as riders negotiate swampy farm roads, sandy washes, red clay, and traditional gravel. Named for Waynesboro’s status as the Bird Dog Capital of the World, the Bird Dog 100 offers a diverse range of riding conditions.

You’ll have the chance to ride roads where few to no cyclists have ridden before. Territory unmarked by Strava segments with only your time for the day to judge yourself against. There’s also a few roads that can’t be ridden any other day of the year.

As an equal and opposite course to the Valley of The Giants, what the Bird Dog 100 lacks in elevation challenges it more than makes up for in other ways. Road conditions change rapidly from gravel to red Georgia clay to sand, pavement, and tractor trails.
