Returning by popular demand , this is  ‘x-rated’ no-thrills audax has plenty of stunning scenery. Ferlix or Elfael is an ancient Welsh Catref centred on an chain of open fells north of Hay-on-Wye. Whereas many people head for the Gospel Pass out of Hay, the glorious route to the north is often overlooked by both cyclists generally and on audaxes. Friday Ferlix passes through control towns with plenty of opportunities for cake, coffee and a natter with fellow audaxers. The e-brevet app will be available for proof of passage, otherwise just e-mail some selfies or post your brevet card back to the organiser afterwards.

You leave via the Bromyard hills and onto the Wye Valley and book capital of Hay. The route swings north to cross the open fells and Llanbedr Hill to reach the heart of Wales. Returning from Knighton and Offa’s Dyke, you get the chance to cross The Goggin before returning via the hopfields in the Teme Valley. It is an x-rated (no thrills) event starting from a car park. The optional e-brevet will be available, getting rid of the need to post brevet cards to the organiser.
