Distances: 32.3, 68.5 miles
Difficulty: Difficult terrain with longer, steeper hills
Limited to: 300 Participants

If you enjoy a mix of adventure, camaraderie, great food, and refreshing drinks, the Buffalo River Gran Fondo is for you! Choose from fully supported, mixed-surface routes of either 68.5 miles or 32.3 miles, starting and finishing at Camp Trapezium in the charming town of Amherst, VA.

This isn’t your typical race. While there’s no pressure to race from start to finish, we’ve included 3 Strava segments along the route for those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition. Each segment will be its own competition, with overall, gender, and age group awards and cash prizes. Plus, there’s a special prize for the rider with the lowest combined time across all three segments. Be sure to join the ride's Strava club (free) to be eligible for awards. Signs on the route will mark the start and finish of each segment.

The weekend kicks off Friday afternoon with check-in at Camp Trapezium, where you can enjoy live music, dinner available for purchase, and lawn games. We encourage all riders and their families to camp at the site at no additional cost.

On Saturday, the day begins with a pre-ride briefing, light breakfast, and coffee at 8:00 am, followed by the ride at 9:30 am. Along the course, there will be three supported rest stops to keep you refreshed. A sag vehicle will also be available for assistance if needed.

After the ride, all riders will enjoy a meal, a beer ticket, and commemorative swag. Additional food and drinks will be available for purchase for your friends and family who are there to cheer you on.

Join us for an unforgettable weekend of riding, relaxation, and community at the Buffalo River Gran Fondo—the perfect mix of challenge and celebration!
