The Gran-fondo AEGEAS cycling race is a cycling event - "Cycling for All" race with the participation of Elite, U23, Juniors, Masters and Sportive athletes (participation of athletes with sportive card). It is organized by the Sports Club "THESEUS" and the technical support of WORLDOFBIKE Total Cycling Solutions, on a route in the Regional Units of Eastern Attica, Viotia and Evia, with the license of the Hellenic Cycling Federation, in accordance with the regulations of the Hellenic Cycling Federation (HAP) and the UCI. The match will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
The race is included in the competition program of the HOC, and gives points to the individual and club ranking of the HOC.


Sunday 9 February 2025, start time 10:30, total distance: 98km
Route: Malakasa Stadium (Pre-start 6km) – North Side of PATHE National Road - Malakasa Camp (Start) – Inofyta (peripheral) – Schimatari (peripheral) – Right heading to Vathi - Parallel National Road Athens-Chalkida - Vathi (peripheral) - Left to Ritsona - Intersection of National Road Thiva - Chalkida (left to Thebes) - Right underpass to Eleonas - Left to Arma - Arma - Right to Asopia / Kallithea - Left to Asopia - Asopia - Right diagonally to Kleidi - Asopos Springs (Gefyra) - Kleidi - Left to Inofyta - Agios Thomas (Peripheral) - Right (Terzi Street) - Camp (KETTH Avlona) - Right to Avlona - Avlona - Prison Avlona - Sfendali (Finish).

Prize / Race Categories

Participation is allowed for the following categories of athletes:
• Athletes with a Masters, Elite, U23 and Junior Men's
competition card categories • Athletes with a Masters, Elite, U23 and Junior Women's
competition card • Athletes with a sportive card, with the ability to participate in sports activities.

Gran-fondo AEGEAS is a "Cycling for All" race as described by UCI regulations, open to all cyclists who participate, in "age groups", as follows:


MEN, WOMEN:
17-18, 17-18
, 19-29, 19-29
, 30-34, 30-39
, 35-39, 40+
40-44
, 45-49
, 50-54
, 55-59
, 60-64
, 65+

The ages of the athletes are calculated based on the calendar year of birth (31/12), and not the date of birth. In order for an age group to apply, at least 6 cyclists or 4 cyclists respectively must be announced for the female categories, otherwise there will be a consolidation with the next largest and smallest age category.


TEAM: Each club – member of the HAPC will be announced in the team ranking of Gran-fondo (with the following conditions of participation:
•The team must have at least one woman, regardless of age
•The team must have at least one man, regardless of age
•The team must have one cyclist in an age group of 40+
•The team must have a cyclist in an age group of 50+
