In this region, the participants will take contact with the Mirandês, the second official language in Portugal and the ancestral traditions of the Mirandês plateau, such as the traditional music and dances of Miranda do Douro composed by gaiteiros, tamborileiros, pauliteiros and mistas dances.

Among them, the Egyptian Vulture or Britango stands out, which was chosen as the symbol of this Natural Park.

Mirandese gastronomy is unavoidable and incomparable, world-renowned and a tourist attraction, with particular emphasis on Mirandese steak, Mirandesa veal, Mirandese lamb (PDO breeds) and pork with all its derivatives. In addition to meat of demarcated origin, other local products are appreciated, such as tabafeia, a smoked sausage made from poultry and pork, regional wheat bread, olive oil, seasoned with salt, garlic, paprika or pepper and parsley. . Traditional sweets include roscos, sodos, dormidos and the delicious sweet ball. Finally, it is important to mention the good wine that is produced in the region, in other words, there is no shortage of reasons, also with gastronomic roots, to enjoy this last weekend in September.

In Miranda do Douro it will be possible to purchase the charismatic knives/razors and the famous Palaçadolo cooperage. The region is also recognized and rich in the production of cork and all types of accessories emerging from this raw material. To visit, participants and their families will have open doors at the Museu da Terra de Miranda, the Centro Ambiental Hispano-Luso and the Ecomuseum Terra Mater.
