Distances: 70, 90, 125, 135, 145, 165, 180, 220 km
Difficulty: Difficult terrain with longer, steeper hills

The Jean Nelissen Classic is a bicycle tour for the experienced touring cyclist. The 7 marked routes vary in distance between 90 and 220 km. In the longest distance there are more than 4,000 meters of elevation gain. Also in the other distances there is a lot of demand on the climbing muscles. There is a suitable challenge for every touring cyclist. The longest distance is considered 'tough' by most participants.

There is also a non-signposted route of 70 km that looks more for the rolling roads and less for the climbs. This route has been largely modified from the 60 km route of previous years.

Every year, around 1,500 cycling tourists participate in this event. The participants come from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.

The routes are mainly on traffic-calmed roads with beautiful climbs, descents with beautiful views and passages of friendly villages. All routes have been renewed for this anniversary edition and head towards the Müllerthal region through Luxembourg's Little Switzerland, characterized by the many rock formations. Since 2022, the area has been included in the international network of UNESCO Global Geoparks.

From the start, the first race is to the south. In addition to climbs that were also included in previous editions, a number of new climbs have also been included in the routes.

There is a choice of 7 arrowed distances: 220, 180, 165, 145, 135, 125 and 90 km, and a non-signposted route of 70 km with fewer climbs.

Two, three or four aid stations (depending on the distance to be driven).

In addition to water, sports drinks, various types of biscuits and fruit, catering is also available at 3 of the 4 aid stations.
