Distances: 50, 100 km
Difficulty: Moderate terrain with rolling short steep hills or moderate, sustained climbs

The third annual Class VI Classic contains some of the finest class VI roads in and around Etna, NH. Some of these roads are well maintained and frequently traveled, others... not so much. While some of the ride could be mistaken for a pleasant gravel grinder, other parts are unspeakably heinous and simply unrideable. Knowing when it's faster to dismount and walk is a necessary skill to finish the ride. The first year had no finishers (out of seven riders). You can view the prior year's course here, most of the same “roads” will be included.

A road bike is the wrong bike, a gravel bike isn’t the wrong bike, a hard-tail mountain bike might be the right bike, a fat bike might be the right bike, a full suspension mountain bike isn't the wrong bike, a downhill bike is probably the wrong bike.

The ride is unsupported except for a few water caches placed along the course, as well as at least one country store with ice cream. This is a very informal event, there will be a designated start time and location but no official "mass start".

Course is unmarked and requires self navigation via provided GPS course.

Finishers will receive nothing, but will have their name etched on a brass plaque to be installed somewhere along the route for future riders to view.
