Hotter’N Hell Hundred

Since its inception in 1982, the Hotter‘N Hell Hundred Endurance ride has firmly established itself as one of the premier century rides in the United States. The Hotter’N Hell Weekend has evolved into a four day festival of Cycling events

The Hotter N Hell Hundred welcomes between 12,000 and 18,000 visitors to Wichita Falls each year. “The Ride”, as it is commonly referred to by cyclists and volunteers, is held 9 days before Labor Day annually.  The HHH has become the largest sanctioned century ride in the country. Participants traditionally come from forty-four states and 5 foreign countries. Over half of the riders travel at least 150 miles to face our 100 mile bicycle challenge.

“The Ride” requires over 3500 volunteers, 800 of whom are doctors, nurses, or medically trained personal.  These volunteers staff and operate nineteen (19) rest stops where 3,600 oranges, 6,000 pickles and 6,000 bananas are consumed along with 15,000 gallons of fluid. Thanks to the Medical community and other volunteers the HHH provides a safe wholesome and competitive environment for people who live healthy lifestyles. Over 350,000 people have participated in the event and share their praise with others.

BICYCLING, the world’s number one cycling magazine, estimates that there are over 45 million adults who cycle for fun and fitness. In fact, more adults than children are riding bikes.

In 2024 The Hotter’N Hell Hundred was voted “Best Road Cycling Event” by the readers of USA Today in the Reader’s Choice Awards competition.
