Join the Western Wheelers Bicycle Club on Sunday June 2, 2024 at The Sequoia for a thrilling cycling experience set amidst the captivating coastal mountains and redwood forests of the San Francisco Bay Area. With a variety of course options including Century, Challenge, Metric Century, and Fun Rides, The Sequoia offers a chance to immerse yourself in the "Challengingly Beautiful" mountain scenery that defines our region.

Hosted entirely by dedicated volunteers, our mission is to foster a love for recreational cycling in the Bay Area's stunning landscape, welcoming cyclists of many levels to revel in the excitement and camaraderie of our event. Beyond the ride, your participation supports local coastside communities and cycling organizations. To date, the Western Wheelers Bicycle Club has donated over $59,600 from The Sequoia to coastside charities and cycling organizations.  

The Sequoia Century
Base fee:
  • This challenge is 122 miles with 10,900 ft. of climbing. Follows the 100–mile route, and adds a loop from San Gregorio to Pescadero, then south to meet the coast at Bean Hollow Rd. before heading north on the coast.
  • This scenic century is 102 miles with 9300 ft. of climbing. Follows the 100K route, and adds a loop from Saratoga Gap to Boulder Creek.
  • This mountainous metric is 69 miles with 6400 ft. of climbing. Climbs Redwood Gulch and Big Basin Way to Saratoga Gap, goes north on Skyline, descends Alpine Road to La Honda, continues to San Gregorio, climbs Tunitas Creek Road, descends Kings Mountain to Woodside, and returns to Foothill College.
  • Loops over Mt. Eden to Saratoga, then goes north through Portola Valley. It is ~52 miles with ~2900 ft. of climbing.
