The CENTRAL COAST DOUBLE (CCD) is a bicycle ride 212.8 miles and 14,000 feet of climbing elevation.  We're an organization comprised of an all volunteer staff. The CCD consist of two routes. A lowland and highland route. The lowland route is 198.5 miles at 12,600 ft of climbing.  The traditional route  (highland) is 212.8 miles and 14,000 ft of climbing.  Both routes are credited toward the Triple Crown.

This is one of the more difficult double centuries in the California Triple Crown Series. The Central Coast Double should not be your first attempt at riding 200+ miles, due to the nature and extent of the climbs, which become more difficult if it is a very hot day. In contrast if you have completed events such as Climb to Kaiser, Terrible Two, Heartbreak, Devil Mountain  or the Markleeville Death Ride (all passes) then this ride can be completed well within the time limit.

The course will officially close at midnight, a cutoff time will be imposed at the Bradley rest stop (Rest stop 5) which is at the 179-mile point, 30 miles from the finish. All riders will be required to have left this rest stop by 9:45 P.M. or you will be sagged in at that time.

There will be a pre-ride meeting at at 5:30 A.M. with a mass start at 5:40 A.M. from the Paso Robles City Park between 11th and 12th Street (See map for location). This will be a timed ride with up to an hour off for lunch.
