BRAN riders will experience small town hospitality and the beauty of the rolling terrain and Sandhills for our Rolling Across the Heartland Tour.

Our route will include overnight stays in the host communities of Valentine, Bassett, Burwell, Petersburg, Stromsburg, Wahoo and end in Louisville where you will be treated to some of Nebraska’s finest small-town hospitality, foods and traditions.  You will have an opportunity to ride the Cowboy Trail from Valentine to Bassett or ride our traditional road route.  We will stay 2 nights in Burwell with an opportunity the second day to ride a couple loops around the Calamus Reservoir or sign up from some tubing, tanking and jeep ranch tours with the Calamus outfitters.

We offer 3, 4 and day 7 options and are fully supported with Roving and Stationary SAG stops, bicycle shop mechanical support, free showers with complimentary towels available daily, baggage transport, charging stations (including ebikes) and a variety of other amenities which can be found on our website at www.bran-inc.org

Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska Inc. is a nonprofit organization which follows a long tradition of supporting Nebraska students by providing scholarships to small town communities across the state.  Each Host town will receive scholarship funds for a student(s) of their choice.  An additional scholarship will be awarded to the “Best Host Town” voted by the riders.

BRAN is a bicycle tour designed for all ages with an atmosphere aimed towards camaraderie and community.

The traditional Nebraska hospitality will be offered by the communities selected for the BRAN 42 route.

Valentine • Bassett • Burwell • Petersburg • Stromsburg • Wahoo • Louisville

BRAN will start in Valentine with an option to ride across the trestle bridge and utilize the Cowboy Trail or ride on the paved road route. We will stay 2 nights in Burwell and use the second day to either ride some loops around the Calamus Reservoir or do some tanking, tubing or jeep tours from the Calamus Outfitters. Petersburg hosted us once before and are geared up and excited to host us again. Stromsburg will provide some of their towns traditional Swedish foods and entertainment. Wahoo will be hosting us overnight vs being and end town and then we will have the option to ride over the Platte River Pedestrian bridge on our way into Louisville where we end our ride. Our traditional Hot Dog thank you lunch will be provided as a thank you for participating in BRAN. We have 3 and 4 day options as well as our weeklong option to ride. There will be gravel routes each day for those that want to ride gravel but we always have our traditional paved road route for the full tour.

We have the best support for our ride with SAG stops every 12-15 miles with volunteers who will have water and snacks.  We are a Non-profit ride that has an all volunteer crew that loves to cycle and give back to their fellow cyclists.  Proceeds from our ride provides Scholarships to Nebraska High School students.  Your participation also has an economic impact on the town we pass through and stay overnight in by your support in purchasing meals from the local group and organizations.
