Distances: 90, 130km
Difficulty: Difficult terrain with longer, steeper hills

Both La Resistance and La Petite feature the HC climb of col de l’Arpettaz and the “HC Gravel” of Route de la Soif, which gives riders an uninterrupted panorama of Mont Blanc as reward for their efforts…

La Petite turns left just before the ski station of La Clusaz to ascend the Cat 3 col de la Croix Fry, while La Resistance continues on up to the Plateau des Glieres via a ferocious 6.8km, Cat 2 climb at an average gradient of over 10%.
La Resistance course will take participants to the National Monument to La Resistance on Plateau des Glieres. Both La Resistance and la Petite courses go past La Resistance Museum and Necropolis at the foot of the Plateau les Glieres.

La Resistance is a ride not a race, as we urge people to take some moments at each La Resistance memorial to honour the memory of those who refused to stand down in the face of tyranny, and paid for this with their lives.

Whilst La Resistance is not a race, we have set up some segments on Strava so you can measure yourselves against your fellow riders and we shall post results based on these.

The segments are:

-Col de l’Arpettaz: 14.8km HC road climb, 1,165m elevation gain, 8% average gradient
-Route de la Soif: 14.3km HC mountain gravel road, 347m elevation gain
-Col des Glieres: 6.8km Cat 2 road climb, 660m elevation gain, 10% average gradient
-“Testing Ten”: 10km, 151m elevation gain, rolling hills
