Aid Stations
The race will feature four aid stations ready with lots of water and any drop bags you give us before the race. If you are riding the 120 mile course your Aid Stations will be at; 32 miles, 57 miles, 75 miles at the River Crossing, and 98 miles.  If you are riding the 77 mile course you will split off at Aid Station #1, 32 miles into your ride.  You will use Aid Station #4 as your second and final Aid Station at about 53 miles into your ride.

Fully Marked Course
Both courses are well-marked with arrows and ribbons, we offer you a GPX file for your GPS unit upon registration. There are many turns and forks on the Badlands gravel roads, but you will race and ride with the peace of mind that you are taking the right turn at the right time with the assurance of our GPX file.  We also offer Que Cards if you prefer them, we try to make it pretty hard for you to get lost. Even still we had two racers end up in MT last year! The course will be marked well enough that you could potentially get away without using Que Cards or a GPS if you pay attention and ride with your head up.

Pace Truck
The first 10 miles of the race will be a neutral roll out. It might sound crazy, but this just may end up being your favorite part of the whole ride! You will get to take in the rugged beauty of the Badlands as you catch up with old friends and make new ones on the smooth blacktop road that winds through the Theodore Roosevelt National Park (there is a good chance we will see some wildlife and if we come close to any buffalo you will be happy that you are in a large group). Once we hit the gravel at the northern exit of the TRNP it is off to the races! The pace truck will drive ahead to alert oncoming traffic of bikers on the road.

Food & drinks at the finish line
The first thing you will want to do after doing battle with your bike on Badlands gravel is eat and drink. We will have tasty “Build your own” sandwiches, chips and cold drinks ready for you to consume as soon as you get off the bike.  All provided by Siggy’s in Watford City, ND. Hang out with your buddies and exchange battle stories from your epic day in the ND badlands.

Prize / Race Categories

There will be a podium ceremony with cash prizes at 8:00pm for the top finishers and recognition of outstanding performances at the post-race recovery.  Open mens and open womens categories for the 44, 75 or 120 mile races.
