Join us for Cycle Canada's Annual Century Ride

Kick start your cycling season at the Tour du Canada Century Ride, a classic cycling weekend held annually in May. A get-together of the cycling clans, attracting clubs and riders from Ontario, Quebec and U.S. border states. Riders start at Maple with a choice of 100 kilometres or 100 miles to Barrie on the Saturday and return to Maple on the Sunday. This May event was first held in the spring of 1988 as a training weekend for the first Tour du Canada ride. The weekend is a retreat and an opportunity for cyclists to socialize. The terrain on both routes is not difficult. Over the years, the age range of those riding with us on the May weekend has been 8 to 80 plus.

Two Start Points For 2021 — Two Locations
In 2021 the century ride will start in Maple. There will be parking at this location plus the bonus of being near the Maple Bakery. There will also be the option of starting from the new Vaughan subway stop (this is part of the new Spadina line extension). This new route allows us to access quieter country roads earlier in the day and avoid some of the busier traffic areas of Toronto. You can choose between 100 km or 100 mile routes from each start location. You'll travel along quiet rural roads and through small villages to our overnight stay in Barrie situated on Kempenfelt Bay on Lake Simcoe.
