Let Open Cycling set you on your journey across the North of England! An iconic route cycled by hundreds of people every year, usually over 4 or 5 days. But how about doing it in just 1 day?

A stunning 150 mile with 4500m of ascent road ride from the mountainous Western Lake District, through the Yorkshire Dales, across the flat Vale of York and finally the Northern Valleys of the North York Moors, finishing by the sea in Whitby.

This iconic route will take you through three of England’s finest National Parks. Your 150 mile journey begins with the infamous Lake District passes of Hardknott and Wrynose, but this is only the start – you’ll then cross the Yorkshire Dales, the Vale of York and the wild North York Moors, finishing in the seaside town of Whitby.
